Aluna’s signature blend originates from yellow Caturra and Tabi varietals carefully cultivated by the hand of two associated coffee growers from ASOPEP, an organised group of farmers from the South of Tolima, well known for their high quality coffee and consistent cup profiles ranging from 85 – 88 pts.
These hills provide sustenance to the young producer families of Aminta Ramírez and Manuel Perdomo, who settled these remote mountains of Tolima at the turn of the century, seeking new opportunities they had exhausted in the urban centres of Ibagué and Lérida from where they migrated. These families have found a peaceful life in the stillness of these remote mountains where they till the land with keenness, oblivious to the delight their produce brings to connoisseurs abroad.
