JavaHistory

La Rochela estate coffee is a 20 year, family-run business, located on the skirts of the western Andean range, in the province of Trujillo. The Cauca valley, though traditionally known to be one of Colombia’s great agroindustrial regions and main sugar cane producer is home to exceptional speciality coffees that grow among the hills that border parallel to the Cauca River.
In the course of its lifetime, La Rochela has cultivated a wide variety of coffees, ranging from Caturra, Castilla and Supremo Colombia to rich, aromatic varietals such as Geisha, Java, Moka and Pacamara. This speciality coffee business started in 1999 with the production of organic coffee certified by OCIA and has focused production on Rain Forest Alliance certified coffee during the last 9 years. They currently export their coffee to exclusive, niche markets in Japan, the United States, Europe and Australia.
